New York - United States Steelband Association (USSA) ushered in the holiday season with its 2007 Christmas Pan Concert.  Eight of New York's steelpan music organizations performed at the event to the delight of the program attendees.  The large crowd was treated to an array of seasonal favorites.

On the show's performance card were Jambalasi, Steel Sensation, ADLIB, Utopia/Women in Steel, Pan Ambassadors, Harmony, Crossfire and Sonatas.  Each orchestra put its own slant on their holiday season music repertoire.

The show's promoters took time to acknowledge and focus in on the young crop of new arrangers whose music works were being featured through the bands' performances.  Young arrangers André White (ADLIB), Kiera Scantbury (Pan Ambassadors) and Marc Brooks (Sonatas) received lusty applause from the audience for their arranging accomplishments.

According to USSA proclamations made throughout the show, much of the event's success was attributed to the hard work and achievements of Mr. Martin Douglas (Crossfire) and his team.  USSA also announced that this was just the beginning of many other planned events.
