Trinidad and
Tobago
-
According to
Lisa Agard,
Executive VP
of Mobile
Services
TSTT
(Telecommunication
Services of
Trinidad &
Tobago), 2010
Trinidad and
Tobago
National
Panorama
Champions
Silver Stars
Steel
Orchestra
will open
for
performing
superstar
artist
Beyoncé this
evening
February 18,
at her
performance
in
Trinidad.
Silver Stars
will perform
the Trinidad
and Tobago
national
anthem and
their winning
steelband
music
panorama
composition
- Battle
Zone.
This is the
biggest
concert to
have ever
been held in
the twin
Caribbean
island of
Trinidad and
Tobago.
A completely
new
performance
structure
was
constructed
in less than
one month to
meet the
very
stringent
and
demanding
standards of
Beyoncé’s
people in
the Queen’s
Park
Savannah. Agard went
on to say
that this
stage was
the largest
ever built
in the
Caribbean.
Beyoncé has
been on a
world tour,
with the
Trinidad
being the
last stop on
her South
American leg
of that tour
which has
been about
two weeks.
Her
performance
in
Port-of-Spain
is said to
be her last
live
appearance
for 2010.
Another
unidentified
medium steel
orchestra
will also be
performing
on-site.
