Khuent Rose, CASYM Steel Orchestra and Rose’s very own Ep!k Ensemble celebrate a Holy Musical Easter Sunday

Brooklyn, New York, USA - Renowned C.A.S.Y.M. (Caribbean American Sports and Youth Movement, Inc.) Steel Orchestra is at The Elim International Fellowship, at 20 Madison Street in Brooklyn on Easter Sunday on March 31, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. Special guest conductor for the event will be Khuent Rose, a master panist, arranger and composer. Not only will Mr. Rose be directing C.A.S.Y.M., he will be debuting his new ensemble, EP!K. Also performing in the cathedral will be Ms. Tatiana Ame Obu from the School of Performing Arts, mime David Thomas and acclaimed baritone Lawrence Craig.

The performance is designed to celebrate the holiest week of the Christian calendar. The theme of the afternoon is “A time of New Beginnings,” and celebrated through music, dance and song will be the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Another highlight of the afternoon will be a time to honor the founder of C.A.S.Y.M. Mr. William Jones, who has given over 30 years of his life to support inner city children through his music program.

This event continues the Arts at Elim performance series. These performances are designed to return the God-given gifts of people to the Creator who gave it to them. The Arts at Elim was founded by Archbishop Eugene J. Blount, Senior Pastor of The Elim International Fellowship, a 48-year-old institution in central Brooklyn.

A free will offering will be received.
