Trinidad & Tobago’s Prime Minister hands over cheque for SteelFesTT 2013

Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - The Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar SC, MP, Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, handed over a cheque on the afternoon of September 19 to representatives of SteelFesTT (Steelpan Festival of Trinidad & Tobago) at the Office of the Prime Minister in St. Clair, Trinidad.

The money will go towards assisting the SteelFesTT Committee in staging the second annual Float Parade which takes place Sunday, September 29, 2013.  Thirteen bands will start from in front of Pan Trinbago’s Headquarters on Park Street, Port-of-Spain and parade east along Park Street, then north on Charlotte Street to the Queen’s Park Savannah.  There all bands will play “God Bless our Nation.”

This year’s event follows the 2012 inaugural parade which was a success.
