LYRICS

Verse 1

Pan music, created out of rhythm
With a musical flow,
Started to grow from deep within
Reaching out and holding on to ah melody
They embrace, while creating ah harmony

Nursing on the sound of the calypso
With classics and jazz and new rhythms,
It start to grow
From a single tenor pan to an orchestra
It’s amazing, how the steel pan has come so far.

Chorus

Yuh hear D’ rhythm, Yuh hear D’ rhythm,
Yuh hear D’ rhythm, D’ rhythm of the pan
Yuh hear D’ rhythm, Yuh feel D’ rhythm,
Yuh get the rhythm coming out of the steelband
Pan has a rhythm that will excite you,
Every time, yuh hear them phrasing together,
Puh tum tum tum, Pum tum tum tum,
Pum tum tum tum, Tum tuh tum......

Yuh hear D’ rhythm, Yuh hear D’ rhythm,
Yuh hear D’ rhythm, D’ rhythm of the pan
Yuh touch D’ rhythm, Yuh feel D’ rhythm,
Yuh get the rhythm coming out of the steelband
Pan has a rhythm that will embrace you,
With the sound, of a musical feeling coming,
From ah band,
It’s the Rhythm of the pan.

Verse 2

Now the pan could play almost anyting,
It could sound like ah harp, ah xylophone or violin,
Syncopate ah guitar strum or ah tenor roll,
And they say, it’s the eighth wonder of the world

Chorus (repeat)
