Hailed as the "Oscar of the
Steelpan Music Movement", this year's 2007 Abstract Entertainment
Life Time Achievement Award will be presented to
Mr. Neville Jules
for his creative contributions of outstanding music and his
inventive significance to the development of the steelband music
and movement. Moreover, Mr. Jules' steadfast
commitment to excellence and honor throughout his life has
improved our society and inspired others.
From its inception, the Abstract Life Time Achievement Award
(AEI) has recognized outstanding individuals whose
pioneering spirit and demonstrated inventiveness for their contributions
during their lifetimes, have assisted
in the development, or perhaps revolutionized, a particular movement
in some way, shape or form. Mr. Jules will be the third
recipient of this annual award.

'Jack' Riley.
The award will be
presented at the annual
AEI
Steel Pan Jazz Concert in New York on
Father's Day weekend
[ Saturday June 16th ]
at the prestigious
House of Jazz at Lincoln Center.
The event will feature music icons David Rudder, Robert Greenidge and
Ralph McDonald.
